We woke up yesterday morning to find Comcast had turned off our cable/net. When I called it was a payment mix-up (yes I had the payment, but the woman from the corporate office had told me to hold off on paying it until she called back, and then didn’t call back) compounded with a records screw up. They kept trying to push me to change over the account name to my own, and I couldn’t understand why – as my husband had previously added me as a person who could make calls for the account.
Evidently- per their records – my daughter called on 5/22/09 to report the death of her father on 4/02/09.
Obviously my husband was surprised to hear about his demise, and the Customer Service rep was a bit embarrassed, especially when he found out our daughter was only 4 years old, and wouldn’t know how to make a call like this if the whim hit her.
Some how I think there had to be some sort of record cross over / mix-up…
Anyhow, my cable internet is back on, and I’m still married to a living breathing man. The same one I married over ten years ago and is the father to my two children.
While initially a little weirded out – we were all amused by this, and no one was so mortally offended that I ended up a widow anyhow. Which is a good thing as I am in awe of those parents who have to do it alone due to losing their other half. I know you do what you have to do – but it’s still inspiring. Anyhow – since my last post mentioning of Comcast I’ve gotten a Comcast reader or two
So Welcome here – as you’ll see I write a lot about spinning but I’m also a homeschooling mommy blogger, and I do write about my kids education as well… something that is greatly assisted by educational TV and the internet as provided by your very company.
